RE Age of Chivalr wordmark[edit source]

Hi, I just noticed that your wordmark is 250 X 148 px, but the size of ours is limited to only 250 * 65. Can you tell me how to get it at the same size as yours? I'm the admin for Rise of Kings wiki and A Wrong Turn wiki, and I am in charge of decorating a third project, which is a Wrong Turn wiki's French page. Thanks in advance. Welcome[edit source]

Hi, welcome to Age of Chivalry: Hegemony Wiki! Thanks for your edit to the User talk:Jordanthejq12 page.

Please leave a message on my talk page if I can help with anything! -- Jordanthejq12 (Talk) 18:53, October 21, 2010

Um...whoops. My bad. No, I'm not used to these weird spellings. Thank you for catching that, though.

If you have to do something like that, create a new page with the correct names, cut and paste the info into the new page, and get rid of the old one. (Don't forget to add categories and stuff like that-we're trying to keep things organized.)

Regards,

JQ

Herzog, it's okay. I have administrator privileges. Just give me a list of redundant pages and I'll adjust as necessary next time I'm on.

Jordanthejq12 20:50, October 26, 2010 (UTC)

Ah, yes. Lines and Unit Lines. The Lines category will be wiped, I think. Thanks for catching that.

P.S.: You're right on on that. This wiki is essentially a two-person effort. We're the only ones doing anything to this, and I'm not about to go "look at me!" on the front page. So hey, it's the least I could do.

Hey, I created a page on the Saethwr, but I'm on a library computer and running out of time. Can you finish it? I'll link you over. Thanks!

Jordanthejq12 22:23, November 12, 2010 (UTC)

Well, now you know how I feel. Geez, a little wiki run by two people using libraries.

Either way, I keep getting non-members pitch in a bit occasionally, and I know we had a couple others at one point...I dunno. I'll keep this thing alive somehow.

Almost every land unit. Okay, we'll get sea units next, also work on techs needed. Still, it's solid progress. Nice job.

Jordanthejq12 17:48, November 20, 2010 (UTC)

Well, this is gonna be fun. 1.72 just got out today, so we've got some work to do (see the Version Information page for details) . I can only hope the next version doesn't come out before we fix everything.

Jordanthejq12 23:26, November 22, 2010 (UTC)

You got photos!?!

That's exactly what we've needed. I'll upload some more. The main page could use a scenery change, IMO.

Jordanthejq12 20:17, December 11, 2010 (UTC)

I got the history!

They're just eighteen text documents in the history folder of the directory. I'm taking care of the history page righ now.

Jordanthejq12 23:19, December 15, 2010 (UTC)

hey man what the hell that "attack bonus removed" was important --skullder001@hotmail.com 02:10, December 18, 2010 (UTC)

Scout Cavalry Bonus[edit source]

Actually, since AoC version 1.0c, the Scout Cavalry obtains a (+2) attack bonus when you reach the Feudal Age, in addition to speed and line of sight bonus. In Dark Age, the Scout has an attack of (3), while in the feudal age it has (3+2). This doesn't happen in Chivalry, the Pathfinder has a base attack of 5.

Why you deleted the Szlachcic bug? It's true, and it's funny, just try it. I'm not talking 'bout the Szlachcic's speed. Try to play a game with Poland, and pass the Szlachcic near a wolf, it will pursue him! The common scouts aren't followed by wolves, but the Szlachcic is.

question[edit source]

do you know where i can find AOC:H scenarios and campaigns? I have found no one

Try it here: http://aok.heavengames.com/blacksmith/lister.php?search=age+of+chivalry+hegemony

Herzog de Puce 02:13, January 19, 2011 (UTC)

I'm making some of the civ pages right now. Can you lend a hand?

Jordanthejq12 19:59, January 22, 2011 (UTC)

Cannon Page[edit source]

My idea is to make a single page, under the name Florentine Gunner, which is the default name for the unit. The seperate costs should be noted, but as far as names go, make a synonyms section (just as with the Trooper and knightly cavalry).

As to your first question, no, I wouldn't make you do all that yourself. I'll help you out when I can--I'm just focusing on siege weapons right now is all.

In response to the messing up of the page, I'm aware. Don't worry, I already fixed it. I was actually adding links and which civhas what synonym, when I get a message about some "editing conflict".

Okay, I'm working on Poland in the background, but my current project is siege equipment. I'm going to make the Siege Ram page and then a page for the line, and then start on Mangonels.

Jordanthejq12 23:03, January 26, 2011 (UTC)

Point taken.

Jordanthejq12 00:20, January 27, 2011 (UTC)

I'm Back![edit source]

I haven't been at the computer in a couple of weeks, so I'm sorry to hear about the situation with VegaDark. I'm glad it was resolved.

As for these other edits, I'm all for it. I'm just going to check for accuracy and whatnot. I have no problem with anybody else helping (in fact we need it), so long as they don't undo any of the stuff we worked so hard to set up.

Jordanthejq12 22:25, February 7, 2011 (UTC)

Took another break. Nice to see how you're getting along. I'm taking care of Market techs and whatnot right now, which should get us to the magical number of 200.

Jordanthejq12 22:35, February 17, 2011 (UTC)

HELP!!![edit source]

Can you help me out here? Tofcaveira's spitting out technology pages faster than I can refine them. All he's doing is putting the basic stats on. Can you help me refine them a bit? Thanks.

Jordanthejq12 23:12, February 17, 2011 (UTC)

Ah, it's a bit harder to work now versus when it was just us, eh? Well, he's done the economic techs (or most of them), which I'm grouping into a seperate category. The guy made a Hand Cart page when we didn't have Wheelbarrow yet, interestingly enough! (Don't worry, I made that page.)

Use the AOK/TC manuals. In most cases the techs are unchanged, except for names.

Jordanthejq12 23:50, February 17, 2011 (UTC)

Yeah, sure thing.

Jordanthejq12 00:11, February 18, 2011 (UTC)

Heros[edit source]

Of course, and can you help me to add more hero pages?

Tofcaveira1977 20:00, February 18, 2011 (UTC)

OK,I Will Create the AH|GH|PC techonogies pages and increase real info in some pages this evening.

Tofcaveira1977 20:23, February 18, 2011 (UTC)

OK,I wll take another screenshot in front of Guild Hall

Tofcaveira1977 13:36, February 19, 2011 (UTC)

Editing Plan[edit source]

Okay, I think we have a routine of sorts worked out: you and Tofcaviera build the pages and throw on the basic stats, and I add detail and creativity. That's what seems to be happening.

Jordanthejq12 18:37, February 19, 2011 (UTC)

Bug[edit source]

I found a bug on bohemian civ,in scenario editor when i play with bohemia in 14th century,It doesn't appear "14th century" but appears 13th century,The policy decisions don't appear;and when I play in 15th century When I reserarch Luxembourg Dynasty don't unlock Ius Teutonicum, but unlocks Shinkichon(old Korean Unique Techology),It's a problem in my game or it's a bug?

Tofcaveira1977 16:19, February 20, 2011 (UTC)

Yes, I'll take care of the siege. I'm working on the Onager page right now.

Jordanthejq12 18:55, February 23, 2011 (UTC)

BTW, I like the little comment you made on the Galeass page. "As if we needed any more proof of Genoese naval superiority." We need more of those.

Jordanthejq12 19:20, February 23, 2011 (UTC)

Both of you: please, please, PLEASE categorize pages while you edit them. This way visitors to our site (if we get any) can navigate easier.

Jordanthejq12 19:02, February 24, 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for the heads-up.

Jordanthejq12 20:38, February 24, 2011 (UTC)

1.73[edit source]

Looks like we're going to be busy this weekend with updates. Can you make it on?

Jordanthejq12 22:06, April 26, 2011 (UTC)

I'm back. I had some other things to do, I didn't have that much time. I am available now, though.

Jordanthejq12 18:26, July 11, 2011 (UTC)

Unit Commentaries[edit source]

Are you on right now? I'm trying to work on commentaries, and yours were particularly good (especially the one with the Routier). Could you lend a hand with those?

Jordanthejq12 21:23, July 11, 2011 (UTC)

Progress[edit source]

No problem, I'm on right now. I'll probably be working on unit commentaries.

Jordanthejq12 21:13, August 15, 2011 (UTC)

I swooped in and made a few edits. The last several that are listed as "Wikia contributers" are me, but I wasn't signed in.

Jordanthejq12 22:58, September 26, 2011 (UTC)

Back to Work[edit source]

I've begun work on the Blacksmith techs. When those are finished, that should be it. We can call it finished, at least for now.

Jordanthejq12 21:50, June 19, 2012 (UTC)

Also, I figured out how to bump people up without making them create a new, empty wiki. You are now an admin. Congrats!

Jordanthejq12 22:50, June 19, 2012 (UTC)

Okay, here's our to-do list:

  • Clean up redlinks by creating pages or removing them (there are still some techs to do).
  • Unit Strategy sections for every unit.
  • Hero pages, including editor ones. Unit stats, then history (the first paragraph of his/her Wikipedia page and then a link to the rest).
  • Editor units and buildings, with history.
  • Historical background for other pages.
  • Recruit additional helpers. I've put out the call to arms a couple of times on AOKH, but perhaps if we explained what it was all about we could get people interested.

Let me know if you have other ideas.

Jordanthejq12 17:13, June 20, 2012 (UTC)

We have strategy sections to write on the most basic units, so do not forget about those.

Jordanthejq12 (talk) 18:32, August 24, 2012 (UTC)

Hey herzog,

How are you? I've been looking at the wiki page and I was thinking that maybe the header of the page could use an update.

This is how it looks like now. But it doesn't look like it's finished. For example the lists are not complete, there are a lot of techs and units which are not in the lists. And if there is a cavalry link there should also be an archer and infantry link in my opinion, maybe even a link to dock units, siege units and civilian units.

Also I noticed that under popular pages there is written civilisations. It should be civilizations written with a z.

I hope you can agree with my remarks,

Best regards,

1302

Would've been nice if you created yourself a Wikia account (or perhaps you already have one - it works for all "wikia-wikis". :) We may need all the help we can get - especially since Kor now added the new civs and changed some features/civ-specific bonuses. Furthermore, it makes communication via talk-pages easier (=> signatures!).

About the page layout: that might be something you could ask Jordan to do. I haven't yet figured how to do the page-layout. It works for civ-pages as they currently use a simple layout. :)

I agree and also thought that we need a link to infantry, archers...etc. Don't remember what held me off from doing it or whether it just didn't work for me.

Regarding "civilisations vs civilizations": that's due to me writing British English while Jordan prefers American English. :)

Hey, I'm thinking about getting back into it, particularly with the new installer. I'll also leave you a message on AOKH. Let's get back to work, shall we?

Hiyo, the Helvetia editor; double checked and can confirm that Reichasdt does indeed give the HP and attack speed bonus. In addition, I too noticed Burgundy's lack of monk healing range. Also, I don't know how accurate the documentation should be (I know the ingame tech tree to be somewhat confusing but can be relied upon on occassion), but Flanders does not recieve the Gorget under any policy decision. Regarding the wording on Guelder's HP bonus, the Ruiter and its upgrade do not recieve the consequences of such, and should reflect that. A thought also on long spears: I do know for a time it was enterntained to lower their attack speed, what about their movement speed instead?

Thanks for your welcome![edit source]

I downlaoded the game yesterday and... wow! I've only seen a glimpse of it, but you guys have made a fantastic work. I haven't got around to play yet (I'm mostly discouraged by the fact that I'm a bad player and this AI seems to be improved, according to what I've read so far) so I'm not familiarized with the game mechanics at all.

That said, I just felt like helping a little bit here. I'm currently scouting the wiki to search for things I can improve before I improve my playing skills (currently busy with studies).

I look forward to digging deep into this awesome mod. Sincerely,

ErikaTheYoung
