The Swiss Pikeman is the upgrade of the Swiss Halberdier. This polearm infantry is definitely the best pikeman in Age of Chivalry Hegemony. It carries greater bonuses than the Halberdier and also benefits from the long pike.

Commentary/Strategy[]
Swiss Pikemen are one of those units that can win battles essentially by themselves. They rip through cavalry like hot knives through butter, and they even do well against infantry. In numbers, these ranged elite pikemen can easily deal with any melee threat. Their light armor and low speed makes them especially vulnerable to archers, but strong skirmishers accompanying them will tear through any army. Although expensive, Swiss Pikemen should definitely form the backbone of a Helvetian army.
Historical Background[]
Even though the Swiss employed the halberd, they eventually switched to the longer pike, which was more effective to cavalry armed with lances.
