A petite ordonnance, i.e. officialising the often irregular units of light cavalry, setting minimum armour requirements and proscribing a specific kind of horse, like the Irish Hobby, allows all light cavalry units to be more efficient in battle (+2 attack) and to be better protected against archery fire (+2 pierce armour). A special breed of horse furthermore allows for better movement.
