Commentary/Strategy[]
The result of having fewer types of units is, usually, a unit that can serve well in multiple roles, which the Liv Auxiliary can do quite well. And it has to, as it is meant to fufill the job of a scout, lancer, and archer-buster simultaneously. Livs can hunt down Archers, Skirmishers, and Priests, when accompagnying the Ordensbrüder, and, to a certain extent, counter Medium and Light Cavalry to protect Lett Auxiliaries. The trouble is that they aren't strong assault units, them being lancers and all.
Historical Background[]
During the 13th century, Livonia was colonised by the Livonian Order, an autonomous branch of the Teutonic Order, and many locals joined the Order armies over time fighting for wealth and an improved social position.
