Ordaining the Close Order Drill increases the effectiveness of units equipped with polearms. This involves training these men to fight in close formation. If they can learn how to do this, they receive +2 attack and +10 HP.

Light infantry unique units equipped with polearms--that is, the unique Swiss and Flemish units--can also participate in these classes, and thus benefit from the bonus.
